Downtown is where Branson got its start around 1888. It’s a
shopping and entertainment destination with the flavor of an
“old time” Main Street, preserved building facades, brick
sidewalks and Victorian lamp posts. Historic downtown

Lake Taneycomo. Today, Lake Taneycomo is a premier
trout-fishing stream that offers visitors the opportunity to

Downtown Branson is rich in history with 19 historic sites.
Guided historic walking tours are available by appointment,
or you may take the tour on your own, with a map provided by
the Downtown Branson Main Street Association at 119 W.
Pacific Street. The self-guided tour map is also available

Visitors are welcome at the Branson History Museum at 119 W.
Pacific Street free of charge. The Museum is part of the
Branson History Project, and both are sponsored by the
Downtown Branson Main Street Association.

riding in an old-time horse drawn carriage, or relaxing on
the Downtown Discovery Trolley, your imagination steps back
